Hi-Q Proudly Supports the 1919 After-School Tutoring for Disadvantaged Children

IAt Hi-Q, we are deeply committed to giving back to our community. One of the initiatives closest to our hearts is the 1919 After-School Tutoring for Disadvantaged Children, which we have proudly supported for many years. This year, we are honored to be one of the main sponsors of this impactful cause.

According to Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, over 170,000 children in Taiwan come from low-income families, many of whom face high-risk environments. These children often lack access to after-school tutoring, extracurricular activities, and parental guidance. To address this, the Chinese Christian Relief Association launched the 1919 After-School Tutoring for Disadvantaged Children in 2004. The program provides free academic tutoring, character education, and art lessons to children from underprivileged families (including those from single-parent and immigrant households), ensuring that they receive the care and attention they deserve.

By offering a nurturing environment, the program enables parents to focus on improving their livelihoods, knowing that their children are in safe hands. Since its inception, the program has helped more than 75,000 children and continues to make a lasting impact. In the 2023-2024 school year, the program will support 2,293 children across Taiwan, Mongolia, and Myanmar.

In early September, Danny Chen, General Manager of Hi-Q's CSR Division, attended the program's press conference, where he urged more people to get involved in this meaningful initiative.

At Hi-Q, we are dedicated to creating lasting change by empowering each child with hope and opportunity. 💙
