2024 Agricultural Value-Added Processing Industry Forum
IHi-Q’s Business Development Director, Kenny Su, was invited as one of the speakers to share insights on the topic: "Blue Economy: The Seaweed Cultivation Industry."
This event gathered over 200 participants from academia, government, and industry to discuss key issues in agricultural processing, aiming to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and foster the future of Taiwan’s agricultural and food processing industry. Minister Chen Jun-ji emphasized the importance of adding value to domestic agricultural products, and forums like this pave the way for new innovations and growth in Taiwan's food economy.
Seaweed cultivation is gaining attention worldwide as a sustainable resource for both environmental and economic benefits. It's not only a key player in carbon sequestration but also contributes to the food, cosmetic, and health industries. For Hi-Q, this means working with local farmers to promote sustainable aquaculture and developing innovative products that enhance the value of this vital resource.
Hi-Q’s commitment to the blue economy aligns with global trends, where seaweed cultivation supports agricultural ecosystems by improving water quality and reducing ocean acidification. We are proud to have contributed to this growing industry and are excited about the opportunities ahead.
